Hi, I'm Sarah Cardenas, a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C) and the founder of Two Sparrows Counseling of Maryland. In addition to my clinical licensure, I am also in training to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and am a member of the Association for Play Therapy. I'm based in central Maryland, where I work with children ages 4 and up, teens, young adults, and moms.

I'm a mom myself, so I know how much heart goes into raising kids. I also know how easily a mom's own needs slip to the bottom of the list while she takes care of everyone else. Whether your child is struggling with big feelings, your teen needs someone safe to talk to, or you're feeling stretched thin and need a place to breathe, you're welcome here. You don't have to have it all figured out to start.

For clients who want it, I also offer Christian counseling, where we can bring faith into our work together. It's always your choice, and you'll never be judged for where you are in your journey.
